Chrissie Hynde’s tough girl /androgynous style has always been high on our list of looks. But it is the woman herself who is far more interesting than the outfits she sports. From Ohio where she migrated to London and worked in Vivienne Westwood’s infamous SEX shop, then playing in a multitude of bands with other such notables as Mick Jones, Tony James and Steve Strange before forming the Pretenders. She has been the only constant member of this ground breaking, female fronted band for the last 4 decades. A big supporter of PETA and vegetarianism, Hynde is afraid of putting her money where her mouth is. More, more, more here
